Its been ages....

Since i last blogged ,or done anything crafty. Ive only managed 2 12 x 12s since septeber and this minibook and ive done a little experimenting with christmas cards. This russian doll book i made for my stepdaugter as it was her 13th birthday we all wrote happy birthday messages in it. everything you need to make this can be bought from cleo crafts. Loved working with these papers , totally lovely.

This is my first lo from the november cleo crafts kit....it was a little different this month as it included some felt and some stickyback plastic....which has woodgrain effect. i liked using both these extra materials and still have loads left to work with. the pictures are of my ds2 and dd at the hop farm.

Think im getting a little bit better at managing real life and getting some scrapping time in so hopefully will have more to upload soon . :0)

learn something new everyday

So yesterday i signed up for one of Shimelles classes. Its called "Learn something new every day". It starts on the 1st of September and we will be getting daily prompt for the month. This is my first ever online class...well first ever class really lol. So ive made my book(look down:0)) this morning using cherry hill papers by october afternoon. There was a kit available to buy but as im being very good before ally pally next month ive decided to use my own stash. I plan to get through the cleo crafts kits that have been started.

Exploding octogon box

Now thats a bit of a mouthfull but thats what ive been making :0) lol. As part of the minibook event on uks Annette (Voodoovixen on uks)has provided instructions for this octogon exploding box. I love the way they look when all opened out. i havent added photos yet but am going to and i will be giving it to my mum.On the whole it wasnt as tricky as i expected but the lid had to be remade as the first was a little small.
Ive managed to use another of my monthly kits from Cleo crafts and the papers are autumn leaves Manhattan. Love these papers. Very classy looking.

more mini books

So the mini book season on uks is still going on and im actually getting some started ... even completed..lol.
This is todays minibook by bubblyfunk and its called flip it mini book. Really easy to do and only one sheet of 12x12 and some pp needed. Ive used another kit from Cleo crafts the papers are " we R memory keepers" Whiteout. Lovely and bright colours .

This mini book is from Annette(voodoovixen on uks) Its a book in a box. I was a bit daunted when I saw the measuring but it was really ok with the instructions i got through it :0)

Ive used a minikit from cleo crafts with daisy bucket papers.

My space mini book

So the second completed mini book from the uks homepage. This was from Leo at crafty templates. So it seemed fitting that i used the the juicy fruit quirky kit to make this. I added some corrugated card for the covers and prima flowers .Not the greatest pictures but a lovely book and easy to make.
